Case Study: Vabene Italy

When Design Meets Fashion in Milano.

  • The Challenge

In order to compete against Toy Watch, it’s juggernaut competitor, Vabene Italy needed a fresh brand after bad press and loss of distributor confidence—due to missed deliveries.

They also needed to establish a brand that would draw investment, in order to expand their footprint into Asia.

  • The Solution

We re-strategized and re-built their brand from the ground up.

First, we gave them a rebellious look in line with their zestful products. The saturated colors provided a needed visual contrast against the competition, who had a black and gold color palette.

Then we delivered an award-winning online store, shop designs, print campaigns, videos, a phone app, photography, packaging, brochures, and a style guide.

Next, we revealed the new face of Vabene Italy to the world at a pop-up, flagship store we designed for Milan’s International Design Show: Il Salone del Mobile—featuring a custom-made, visual mapping experience.

  • The Results

We earned press coverage across all the major watch publications, plus articles in numerous style magazines, newspaers and blogs.

The phone app became the source of major new business revenue alongside the new online store.

Investors supported the opening of over 12 new boutiques across The Middle East, China and Far-east Asia.
